CT 8 – Pompey

Installed witness stones Connecticut

Installation Date: November 15, 2018

Location: 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford, Connecticut

Pompey, son of Montros and Phillis b. 1729, d. enslaved in 1819. He was a carpenter and was held captive by many slaveholders over his long life. At this site, he was held by Ebenezer Dod in the previous house at this site.
