June 6 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Witness Stones Project, Dennis Culliton, will present an overview of projects executed across the northeast. He will also offer personal insights into the making of the documentary Unforgotten:Connecticut’s Hidden History of Slavery which recently aired on CPTV.

Also presenting will be Pat Wilson Pheanious, former Connecticut state representative and chair of the board of directors of the Witness Stones.  Her ancestors were among the first to be memorialized with Witness Stones in Guilford and she will be sharing her experiences with the project.

At the program’s conclusion, all are invited to attend the installation on the Green for the Witness Stone honoring Bristol, the enslaved individual being researched and remembered this year by students at Elizabeth C. Adams Middle School in Guilford.
