CT 27 – York

York was born c. 1700 and died c. 1753. We believe he is the son of Rachel and York and that he had at least one sister whose name was Simone. Both siblings were enslaved by Captain John Prentiss. They lived on North Main Street near Trout Brook. York was enslaved with 8 other enslaved people of  African and Algonquin origin.
